Children are great imitators because their imaginative minds pretend that they are adults when they play at keeping house or do other things they see adults do. The effect of being imitators of these kids can either be good or bad, depending upon the examples they imitate. Certainly the movie gangsters and other bad men that many of them watch on television and movie screens with avid interest are not good examples for them. The fact that some children have imitated men of this type has contributed to the rise of juvenile gangsters, whose depredations and acts of violence in cities all over the world are notorious. Imagine if these kinds have followed the good examples instead of the bad ones. So it is indeed important to supervise the entertainment that the children are taking especially the ones that they watch on movies, television, or in the internet if they love to watch movies online. Supervision is also required in the choice of your children on their playmates and parents should also set good examples. Children can easily imitate the manners and conduct that they see from their parents. Parents that use foul language usually have children that use foul language, and parents that make a practice of lying usually have children that are habitual liars. However, positive results can be gained if parents would also set good examples for their children to imitate. The best imitation that everyone can make is to imitate God who has been very patient when it comes to dealing with people even to those who are not showing Him respect. Even though he hates what is bad, he has always been forgiving to everyone who showed repentance. His willingness to forgive even wicked persons if they are sincerely repentant reveals his goodness in a very striking manner.
